Description
“Now ski equipment is a dark and mysterious subject, especially to the beginner.” Or so says Peter Vajda, a Swiss university ski champion and Vancouver ski instructor.
Whether for snail-like snowplough or supersonic slalom, finding the right pair of skis is key. This was no different around the 1940s. Luckily, there were people like Peter to help, and newspaper columns to share the word. In this article, written with the help of Ted Bishop, assistant author and Edmonton Skier, they explore how to select ideal ski equipment.
Year unknown but believed to be circa 1940s. The second part of the column is not present.
